Whether or not exercise is your thing, riding bikes is a great way to get active at a leisurely pace. Take advantage of the warm weather and pick a scenic route that offers romantic views for you and your lady to enjoy. On the other hand, if you’re an avid cycler, remember that it’s a date, not a race. Don’t leave your woman in the dust!
Spend a day at the fair
Remember your teenage years, when you’d spend a whole week at the fair every summer until you knew the fairgrounds by heart? If you haven’t been to a fair since then, you’ll be amazed by the sense of nostalgia that the atmosphere gives you. It may seem juvenile, but is any romantic gesture more pure than winning her a giant teddy bear? And is anything more intimate than that moment at the ferris wheel’s peak? The lady will love it.
Go out to brunch
You might not be a fan of most of the latest trends, but don’t let the fact that brunch is in right now spoil what is a fundamentally awesome idea. A lot of brunch places will seat you outside in the summer, and that’s what you should be shooting for. Drinking before noon on a Sunday is as good as it gets, so order a mimosa for your date and a beer for yourself. Just make sure the joint isn’t too hip to serve you your simple bacon and eggs.
