For me, it stands for reunion. No matter how busy I am, I will go home and stay with my family on that day. We eat different fresh fruits and nuts as well as moon cake, thick pastries with various fillings, which resemble the full moon and symbolize happiness and family reunions. On the daytime of Mid-Autumn, we will travel for relaxation and watch the moon and talk with my family at night.
According to legend, Houyi wanted to live a happy life with his wife, Chang’e, forever. So he asked Heavenly Empress to give him some elixir that can make people immortal. The Heavenly Empress gave him some elixir because she was moved by Houyi’s affection and contribution (Houyi shot down nine of the ten suns). However, the content was only enough for one person, so he gave the elixir to Chang’e to preserve and wanted to seek another one. This was known by the evil Fengmeng who stayed at home deliberately when Houyi went out hunting. He threatened Chang’e to give the elixir to him. So Chang’e swallowed the elixir herself. As soon as she took it, Chang’e flew from her house toward the heavens and finally landed on the moon. People heard this and celebrate this every year. I will always remember: East or West, home is best.

I miss my family all the more on every festive day especially on the Mid-Autumn Festival. In our Chinese culture, the full moon is a symbol of family reunion. So Mid-Autumn Festival is a time for families to be together, it is also called Reunion festival.
Although I live quite far from my family, every year, when the Mid-Autumn Festival comes, I would still get back to celebrate this festival with my grandparents and parents.
On that day, everyone in the family will help to make the house clean and beautiful. Lanterns will be hung in front of the house. And I would cook some delicious food for a nice dinner. After we had dinner, we would prepare some tasty food such as moon cakes and fruits on a table in the courtyard, then sitting there enjoying the bright full moon while sharing with each other our daily happiness in the harmonious night.
I cherish and enjoy every festival spent with my family, because the reunion time is always not easy. I wish all my families and everyone a happy Mid-Autumn Festival!

Mid-Autumn festival for us Chinese people is very important. It is just like our spring festival it means tuanyuan
Our spring festival is just like western Christmas day. And our moon cake is round that means we hope our family members will be together after the whole year on Mid-Autumn day, almost our family members will be together.
We are working at different places but on that day, we all will back home and eat moon cake together, just like we will be safe and sound all year. This means a lot to us, and we do not have much time to stay at home with our parents.
So this holiday gives us chance to spend some time with our family members. It is public holiday in China and also a traditional holiday for us.

There are various kinds of moon cakes, such as bean paste, egg-yolk or meat. The shape of a moon cake is round as it symbolizes a big moon. Moreover, in the evening of the Middle-Autumn Festival, people get together, eating delicious moon cakes while appreciating the beautiful moon hanging in the dark sky. Every year, we will get together to spend that happy day.

I come from a traditional family with a group of members. So we all get back to hometown before the Mooncake Day every year. Making and sharing mooncake is one of the hallmark traditions of us. A round shape symbolizes completeness and unity. Thus, the sharing of round mooncakes among family members signify the completeness and unity of us. On that night, we sit in a circle, and the senior person cuts the mooncake into pieces and distributes them to each family member. Enjoy the delicious food, and some traditional dance, and hear the changes in the past year from the senior personal, and the wish in the following year. And another interesting self-introduction from the children under 10 years old and the new couples married in the year. Year after year, we know all matters about hometown still and always, no matter where we are. After midnight night, all back home. Kiss my grandma, thanks for her love to us. The same year after year, but different year after year, I enjoy that day every year. It is really a day all of us pine for.

WOWWWWWWWWWW, Mid-Autumn Day is a traditional festival in China.it is just around the corner after 2 weeks!! I like this important day very much because it stands for family reunion, it is the biggest occasion to bring all my relatives together!
This year I will go back to my hometown spend the Mid-Autumn day with my family, I will help them clean the house and hang the lanterns in front of my old house! At night, we will have a very big family dinner, after dinner we will enjoy the bright round moon and eat the delicious mooncake and enjoy the very nice moment with my family!! How happy we are! I feel so good cos I know home is always the warm harbor for us, no matter where you are, home is best! No matter how time changes, love stays!

Wowowow ~ lol~ Do you know why I am sooo excited now? That is because the Middle-Autumn Festival is coming soon. It is such a nice festival for all we Chinese people. As we all know the Mid-autumn Festival is one of the most important festivals in China, which really has a long history. Nowadays the festival is more famous because we can have a three day break in the festival .We usually get together and have a big dinner. Mooncakes are the mark of the festival in China, and meanwhile in this day seeing the moon is a habit because it is brighter and rounder.
This year on this day, all my family members will gather at home to celebrate this special occasion. I will buy some delicious mooncakes back home to my families. And we will have a nice meal on that day. My mum asked me what I wanted to eat on that day. Because I didn’t come back home in a few months. She misses me a lot.
I still remembered last year on this day, all we family members were sitting around a big table under the tree in the open air. They were eating the mooncakes and admiring the full moon in the sky. That was a family reunion dinner. The mooncakes and the moon represent the love from a family. I think this is one of the most valuable things in the world.
It is a very good opportunity to make two wishes on Mid-Autumn Day. The first is that I wish all my family member could stay health. And the second is that I will find my future love in the coming days.
