Removal of them out of your life. Get rid of anything that may remind you of them. Return all of their possessions, and throw away any love letters you may have from them. If you used to go to a place frequently with them, find a new location to start fresh. The more things you have around you that remind you of them, the longer it is going to take to get over them.

Starting out fresh. Think of it as one door has maybe closed for you, but there is going to be another open door shortly. Do not think of the break up in a negative way, yet another way of starting out fresh. Get a new hairstyle or go shopping for new clothing, any way to have a fresh start.

Humor and hobbies are important. It is important to laugh through the break up process. You can do this by watching a funny movie, or even laughing with some friends and family members. Humor will remind you of the funny times in life and that the break up might not be so bad after all. If you find yourself struggling to find things to keep you occupied, learn a new hobby to keep your mind off of things.

Support is important in the break up process. You need to have a support group, or a small group of friends and family members that are willing to listen to your feelings. Surround yourself with the people who love and care for you, because they will help you be able to get over the break up and move on with your life.

It is important that you follow these stages of a break up so that you can heal properly from the relationship. It is going to take some time to get over it and move on, but it will happen. Take the time to heal and mend your broken heart, but remember that you have to move on with your life. There will be other opportunities available to you in the near future, and you need to keep this in mind to get over the relationship emotionally.
